I look forward to the Day when both of my parents, Mr Ed Ferro #65 & Charlene Ferro #165 are "Inducted" into this Racing Hall of Fame. As their story is one of many ..But it is yet rare in nature. It consists of Family, Friends, Love & Racing. Years spent growing up at the infamous dirt track owned by the one & only J.C.Agajaian, I loved my childhood. My life's foundation was truly 'built' on red dirt clay. There were generations the passed thru the Pit Gate and grandstands. Husbands & wives, fathers & sons, and yes ,even mothers & daughters who raced together. For me, having the memories of racing with my mom are my most favorite of all..Going into turns 1 & 2 at Ascot. Pitching it sideways and knowing that for that one moment in time, it could be trusted. Not having to let up off the gas pedal and staying Full Throttle.... Priceless! There were those who raced, those who wrenched and those that cheered. I will always remember my Ascot Park Glory Days.. I am aware that this would be a huge honor to be bestowed on my parents but the are truly deserving of it. They are true "Legends of Ascot ". Mr. & Mrs. Ed played very important roles through out their racing careers. The "Famed " Ferro Family was a huge part of the the history of Ascot. And, as they always lived in Gardena, they were always the Hometown favorites! I think the entire concept behind The “Legends of Ascot” is truly an incredible one.
