Richards Takes INSSA Victory

POST FALLS, IDAHO – Former INSSA Series champion Kevin Richards of Newman Lake, Washington returned to victory lane Friday night. The Northwest Outlaw Street Stocks put on a race with more twists and turns than a Shakespeare play. Dave Lund of Arlington evaded mishaps and maladies, adding yet another main event victory at Ephrata Raceway Park’s paved oval. Jason Ray, a recent newcomer to the Jerry’s Auto Supply hobby stocks stayed out front to take the checkers. Read more

GET A RULER: Zamora wins by inches at Yakima

YAKIMA - Kennewick, Washington’s Mike Zamora won the 60 lap Late Model main event by a mere 6 inches over Portland’s Dan Obrist Saturday night at Yakima Speedway. Adding another win to his credit for 2007, the veteran driver made his move to the outside of the Obrist machine on the last lap of the event. Defending champion, Christopher Kalsch, made an inside move coming to the checkered, to finish in the third position by less than a foot. Read more

Rainfall washes away NSCS at Willamette

LEBANON, Ore. - It’s not corporeal, but Mother Nature has joined Roger Crockett as a multi-time winner in 2007 as she has washed away her second Northwest Sprint Challenge Series event of the season.
Friday’s event at Willamette Speedway was to be the second of four scheduled visits to the 3/10-mile, high-banked clay oval this season. The NSCS is scheduled to return to Willamette on Wednesday, July 25 for the final Oregon race of Northwest Speed Week and again on Friday, September 8. Crockett, the NSCS points leader out of Medford, won last month’s NSCS main event at Willamette. Read more
