Matt Poole is looking forward to a winter not filled with snow, but instead filled with testing and improving his skills behind the wheel of Lafferty Motorsports race cars in preparation for the 2008 racing season. The dynamic duo will tackle dicey Gas City (Ind.) I-69 Speedway in USAC National Sprint Car Series competition on Thursday, then pull double duty in the USAC Sprint and Midget Series at O’Reilly Raceway Park (ORP) in Clermont, Ind., on Saturday. Jenkins takes second in wild late-model stock car race

PORTLAND, Oregon – Friday practice at Irwindale went well for rookie Scottie Jenkins, who enjoyed consistent times and smooth laps the entire evening.

Jenkins qualifies pole, finishes fourth at Irwindale

PORTLAND, Oregon – Scottie Jenkins had a good feeling about last Saturday night’s race even before he fired up the engine in his #51 E.F.I. / High Point Racing stock car. His goal: nail down the fastest qualification time and get the pole position. Jenkins’ lap time of 18.988 accomplished exactly that, though unfortunately the random inversion shuffle moved him back to the sixth position for the start of the race - with all of his teammates ahead of him. Justice Brothers/High Point Racing 1-2 Finish

Las Vegas, NV – Jace “the Ace” Meier nearly beat teammate Tim Huddleston Saturday evening at the Automobile Club of Southern California Late Model series 40-lap main event at Irwindale.  Meier had qualified 5th, but started on pole, and ran neck-to-neck with Huddleston and Staudinger the entire race. Huddleston had a 10-car length lead with six laps to go when Meier started closing in and finished right on his rear bumper.  Read more
