Meier scores another top-5 finish

May 19, 2007

Las Vegas, NV – Jace “the Ace” Meier hoped to make it two in a row this past Saturday, but ended up with a 4th place finishing after starting out in the 6th position at the Automobile Club of Southern California Late Model series 50-lap main event at Irwindale.

With the 4th place finish in a 33-car field, Meier moved up from being 8th in points to now 4th in points overall.  In addition, he maintains his leading rookie status.

“We were not anticipating such a caution free race with such a large field,” said Meier.  “We decided to put a relatively short-run set up on the car and it ended up costing us.  We started fading too much on the long run and we couldn’t make it up at the end.  Brett Barnett and the rest of the crew have done a phenomenal job for us and we’re definitely going for a win this coming weekend.”

Meier is an 18 year old Las Vegas native, currently racing for Tim Huddleston’s High Point Racing team.  When he isn’t racing, Meier is an honor student at Spring Valley High School, president of his senior class and a very active member in his school and the community, in addition to serving as a Motivational Speaker.
