Darren Young dominates ASA STC at Firebird

Darren Young totally dominated the May 5th ASA-Go Fast- Speed Truck Challenge Series race at the Firebird International Raceway in Chandler-Arizona. The Gilbert-Arizona driver passed Victor Pfluger on the third lap of the race, that was actually ran under a 40 minute time limit, and never looked back. Read more
United Racing overcomes some adversity at Tuscon

When the United Racing teams joined their fellow ASA Go Fast Speed Truck Challenge competitors, April 21st, at the Tucson Raceway Park they arrived at the track with a great deal of enthusiam not to mention momentum from the success of the previous event in Lake Havasu City-Arizona.
United Racing drivers Bear Rzesnowiecky and Darren Young finished one-two at the Havasu 95 Speedway in their matching Chevrolet trucks sponsored by United Nissan, Sudden Impact and Quaker State.Both drivers arrived in Tucson tied for third in the series’ points standings. Read more
Pfluger fourth different series winner in ASA Speed Trucks at Tuscon

There’s no question about it, the ASA Go Fast Speed Truck Challenge Series’ 2007 season is shaping up to be one the most competitive ever in the decade plus history of this regional touring series for racing trucks. The first three races this year turned up three different winners and that streak continued, April 21st, when Victor Pfluger became the fourth different driver, to vist an ASA Speed Truck Challenge Series victory lane, after winning the 100 lap feature at Tucson Raceway Park. ASA SPEED TRUCKS: SKIN TIGHT POINTS RACE TO TUCSON

The Go Fast-ASA Speed Truck Challenge Series will bring its high flying touring show to the Tucson Raceway Park, Saturday April 21st, to take on the challenge of the multi banked ,375 mile paved oval there.
When the speed trucks arrive at Tucson they will be bringing with them a skin tight points battle for the series’ championship. Going into Saturday night there are only 12 points seperating the top five drivers in the standings. Yet another big part of this highly competitive Speed Truck season is the fact that the first three races of 2007 has turned up three different winners. Read more
UNITED NISSAN RACING READY FOR THE TUCSON CHALLENGE THIS SATURDAY

When the teams from the ASA Speed Truck Challenge roll their haulers into the pit area of the Tucson Raceway Park this weekend there’s one thing that can be expected: those two black trucks from United Nissan Racing are going to be well prepped and the team’s two drivers are going to respond to the challenge, of the .375 mile track’s multi banking, and charge to the front. Championships, $1,000 late model winners check at Lucas Oil I-10

The Lucas Oil I-10 Speedway, a quarter mile paved oval located at the Colorado River Fairgrounds in Blythe-California, is down to its final two weekends of its 2006-2007 Winter Blast Series and it appears that the track is going to conclude its series in a very big way. The K&N Performance Filters Late Model Series will decide its championship, at the April 14th race, and making things more interesting will be the fact that the race winner will get a $1,000 paycheck for the effort. Also deciding their championship Satuday night will be the Sunoco Fuel Pure Street Stocks. Making the night even more entertaining will be the presence of the West Coast Speed Trucks. Read more

Question: how many people chose to spend a portion of their Easter holiday weekend at a local race track? Answer: a lot of them. The grandstands and pit area were full, April 7th, at the Havasu 95 Speedway, a quarter mile paved oval located at Lake Havasu City-Arizona, where the fans were treated to racing from the modified, legend, bandelero and factory stock divisions. WATCH OUT THE BEAR IS COMING

With the poise of a seasoned veteran, 14 year old Bear Rzesnowiecky used the presence of a lapped vehicle as a pick and went on to win his first ASA Speed Truck Challenge Series race, April 7th, at the Havasu 95 Speedway a quarter mile paved oval located in Lake Havasu City-Arizona. The stunning, late in the race move, came within the final 20 laps and capped off an event that was littered with eight yellow caution flags and one red flag.

The ASA Speed Truck Challenge will send their high flying, full sized, racing pick up trucks to take on the often challenging Havasu 95 Speedway, a quarter mile paved oval located in Lake Havasu City-Arizona, this Saturday night April 7th. This event is the third race of the still young 2007 season. However, early indications state that this is going to be one of the most competitive seasons ever in the series history which is now more than a decade old. Read more
High Desert Roadrunners Car Club ready to show

For many years now the membership of the High Desert Roadrunners Car Club have dedicated themselves to the restoration and perservation of classic vehicles. It takes a lot of hard work, as well as a significant expense, to restore these vehicles but to these club members it’s an act of love. The good news for all classic car lovers is the fact that the members of this car club are more than willing to share their automotive works of art with the general public and will be doing so again, March 31st, on Balsam Street in downtown Ridgecrest-California.
