Eddie Blood scores 300-lap win

It rained, it hailed, and it did everything but snow for the first of four 300-Lap Enduro?s for the Bumblebees/Hornets/Stingers at South Sound Speedway.
The 50 car field was lined up on the front stretch with the #1 position left open for the best appearing car.  The crowd at South Sound Speedway picked Longview, Washington?s #15 Dan Walker, driving the D & S Light Truck and Auto, 1990 Honda Prelude with the loudest cheer.

Walker, with the crowd?s help, brought the field of 50 cars around for the start of the race and led the first 24 laps until his motor blew.  Laps 25 and 26 were led by the #66 Dan Woodward, then the #33X Ben Callies took his turn at the point on lap 27 and led until lap 49.  That?s when he was passed by the #24 Scott Johnson.  Johnson led until lap 102, when he was Black flagged for being on fire.  Woodward returned back to the lead until lap 135.

Callies took the point back for laps 136 and 137.  Woodward, hot on Callies heals took the lead back on lap 138 looking like the man to beat.  Woodward?s car started to slow.

On lap 226, Olympia, Washington?s #97 Eddie Blood, driving the Snap On Tools, Fusion Graphics, Eddie?s Automotive, Subaru Legacy, took over the lead from Woodward, and never looked back, taking the checkered flag on lap 300, winning the first Enduro race of the season at the West Coast?s fastest 3/8?s mile paved oval.

Rounding out the top 10 were runner up, Dan Rhodes, Clint Anderson, Scott McDowel, John Davis, Jimmy Moen, Dan Coutts, Cody Koroshes, Kevin Penticost, and Brian Buxton.

The drivers that finished in the top 10 were eligible for a $200.00 bonus, Thanks to HiLine Homes.  The winning number drawn was the #51 Cody Koroshes.
The next 300 lap Enduro will be held on May 26, 2008.
