SULTAN, WA – JZ Motorsports will partner with Coleman Motorsports to compete for the 2008 Evergreen Speedway Whelen All American Series Championship. Driver, John Zaretzke, will pilot the Zipfizz/Pinnacle Group - Whelen All American Series Super Stock. The partnership came together after Coleman Motorsports driver, Lex Johnson, decided to take a break from racing to focus on his new ownership of Evergreen Speedway.
This unique partnership will rely on resources and crew members from JZ Motorsports and Coleman Motorsports. JZ Motorsports, ’s newly founded racing team, will be based out of the new JZ Motorsports shop in Sultan, WA. Coleman Motorsports, owned by Lena and Frank Coleman, will operate out of the JZ Motorsports stables.
“We are so happy to have John as our driver, we love to race and with John piloting the Coleman Motorsports car we can go out and have some real fun with a shot at the Evergreen Championship” said Lena.
“Lena and I are really excited about battling for a championship with JZ driving. Things always happen for a reason and I think the events of earlier this year will result in a super team, lots of excitement for the fans and the highest potential for a championship while having fun doing it” said Frank.
“I’m thankful for this opportunity and look forward to teaming with, and driving for Lena and Frank. Coleman Motorsports has always had top notch equipment and I’m excited about the upcoming season” said Zaretzke. “This partnership has brought a level of energy to the team that we have not had in the past 4 or 5 seasons.”
Zaretzke will compete in all 18 of the Evergreen Speedway Whelen All American Series events schedule for 2008 with the first event scheduled for April 12.
