Cup series changes not so hectic in 2008?

December 4, 2007

CDA Press’ Jerry Hitchcock on NASCAR’s problems with quotes from Stateline Speedway’s Joe Doellefled. Read the whole thing here http://www.cdapress.com/articles/2007/12/04/sports/sports02.txt

it should be simpler …Now NASCAR’s top series (Sprint Cup — get used to the name) can concentrate on just one type of car to run in 2008, instead of this past season’s circus of the ‘normal’ Cup car one week and the COT (Car Of Tomorrow, now the Car Of Today) the next.

Lately, I have heard (and read in online blogs) about what is wrong with NASCAR: races too long, season too long, too many (and also not enough) drivers in the Chase for the Championship, etc. You can bet that NASCAR is aware of their fans’ concerns and complaints.
