Johnson Sweeps Legends Season at Stateline

POST FALLS, IDAHO – Nick Johnson scored win number three of the season during Northwest Legends cars competition Saturday night at Stateline Speedway. With the win Johnson completed the sweep of the season, winning all three races the series held at the track.

 

Johnson, who leads the points in the Pro division, held a strong lead for the majority of the race holding off Semi Pro driver and fast time setter Kyle Oman for the lead and win in the 50-lap event. Johnson also won the combined Master and Pro division heat race. Oman finished second.

 

Alex Kerslake took third followed by Nick Carey in fourth with Semi Pro heat winner Matt Henderson rounding out the top five. Dash winner Ty Hunter was the highest finishing Master division driver finishing tenth.

 

Next Saturday the Inland Northwest Winged Sprints return with series point’s leader Tony Berry of Spokane. Hobby Cars and Street Stocks are also scheduled to compete. Events start at 6pm. Adults are $10, kids under the age of six are free.

 

The wild, wacky, unpredictable action of Wednesday Night Fever continues every Wednesday at 6pm with the cars and superstars of the Road Runners, Fever 4’s, plus the wild and crazy Bump to Pass division. Adults are just $5.75; kids under the age of nine accompanied by adults are free.
