Eventful Oregon weekend moves Vaughn up NSCS standings

SNOHOMISH, Wash. - Robbie Vaughn didn’t have a very fun night at Willamette Speedway on Friday, May 25.
Starting on the front row of the B-Main event, Vaughn got tangled with other cars on the initial start and went for a wild ride, which included getting hit very hard by Seth Hespe. With a destroyed race car, Vaughn and the Jansma Racing team loaded up and returned to the team’s shop in Mount Vernon, Wash. Many speculated the weekend was over for Vaughn, a top candidate for Rookie of the Year honors in the Northwest Sprint Challenge Series. Read more
ASA Northwest Tour announces new tire provider

Yakima, WA - ASA Northwest Tour officials announced starting with the July 7 race at Yakima Speedway a new tire will be used to finish out the season. The American Racer tire was chosen as the mid-season replacement for the Goodyear tire. Read more
EPHRATA: Nolan, Hector, and Razey notch first feature wins

Whitney Nolan of Wenatchee had his best racing performance since joining the All State Electrical Inc. CROW sprint cars by nearly pulling off a sweep in the winged open wheelers with a trophy dash and feature win. The main event victory was Nolan’s first in the sprints. Likewise, Ephrata’s Jeff Hector earned his first main event victory in the Northwest Pro 4 Trucks, besting his uncle and defending Pro-4 truck champion, Bart Hector. Read more
Riehl Wins ASA Northwest Tour 150 at Stateline

Post Falls, ID (June 24, 2007) – The second time was the charm for the ASA Aero Exhaust Northwest Tour at Stateline Stadium/Speedway. With the first race at the Inland Northwest facility rained out, the make up was a great success for all. The most successful was the Access Road Solutions 150 winner Brandon Riehl (Boring, OR). Riehl lead all 150-laps in front of large crowd. Second place finisher BJ Tidrick (Yakima, WA) started his day as the Winner’s Choice fast qualifier. Kelly Tanner (Auburn, WA) made it to the podium for the first time since 1997 with a close third place finish. Read more
Yakima Speedway to add crate engine class at fall classic

Thomas, Hatton, Carillio Wednesday Winners

YAKIMA, WA - Yakima Speedway fans welcomed the Outlaw Street Stocks, Late Models, Super Stocks, Hornets and Bump to pass cars Saturday night for a fast paced night of racing action. Garber takes INSSA win number two

POST FALLS, IDAHO – Dave Garber held off a determined Corey Allard to win the Inland Northwest Super Stock Series 100 Saturday night at Stateline Speedway. Garber gained the lead from Ross Cooper early in the race and dodge lapped traffic to win his second 100-lap feature this year at the track. Read more
WRAP-UP: OKTIRE Challenge Series at Goldspan

The fans gathered on blankets and lawnchairs on the sloping terraced hills of Quesnel’s Goldpan Speedway for the 3rd 100 lap race of the OKTIRE Challenge Series.
The Fort St. John driver behind the wheel of the #38 Pontiac Grand Prix lived up to his nickname again as Lightning Lee Thomas set the fast qualifying time of 15.210 surpassing the existing record of 15.211 set a year ago by Brett Young of Prince George.

Goodwin still chasing first win at Orange Show Speedway

SAN BERNARDINO – It’s taken Matt Goodwin longer to turn the corner into the winner’s circle than anyone expected when the Orange Show Speedway racing season got under way.
Goodwin, 17, was the ASA Stock Pony class rookie of the year in 2005, when he finished fourth in the standings. Last season, he was third, just two points behind class runner-up Adrianne Murlin, and finished in the top five in all but two of the 13 races. So when he won two main events during the speedway’s Winter Series, the general feeling was that his first regular season win was just around the corner. Read more
