LEBANON, Ore. - It’s not corporeal, but Mother Nature has joined Roger Crockett as a multi-time winner in 2007 as she has washed away her second Northwest Sprint Challenge Series event of the season.

Friday’s event at Willamette Speedway was to be the second of four scheduled visits to the 3/10-mile, high-banked clay oval this season. The NSCS is scheduled to return to Willamette on Wednesday, July 25 for the final Oregon race of Northwest Speed Week and again on Friday, September 8. Crockett, the NSCS points leader out of Medford, won last month’s NSCS main event at Willamette.

On Saturday the NSCS will pay a visit to Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma, Wash. for one of four remaining events at that facility, including next month’s Fred Brownfield Memorial Sprint Challenge. The other rained out NSCS event was at Grays Harbor on April 27.
