The ASA-Go Fast-Speed Truck Challenge will present round six, of their 2007 season this Saturday,June 2nd, at the California Speedway in Fontana. Saturday will mark the second race in a row on a road course. That’s really good news for the Las Vegas based United Racing.

Their drivers, Darren Young and Bear Rzesnowiecky, just loves this type of racing and are considered to be road course specialists. They also have team members who are experts in preparing their United Nissan-Sudden Impact-Quaker State Chevrolet S-10 trucks so they can have the set up they need to handle those tight left and right turns.

Darren Young clearly demonstrated his road racing expertise during the last series race, on May 5th, when he completely dominated, and won, the event at the Firebird International Raceway in Chandler-Arizona. The two time, and reigning, series champion did a masterful job with maintaining his rhythm and hitting his marks enroute to his first win of the season.

Young said he’s looking forward to another road course win at Fontana this Saturday.

“I’ve never really raced a car or a truck at Fontana but I have raced a go kart on their infield course. I don’t know if the track will be the same or not. We’re going to show up with the same set up that we had at Firebird and hope for the best.”

At age 14 Bear Rzesnowiecky is already a seasoned veteran of road course racing through karting and legend cars. It also helps that he’s a third generation member of a racing family that has excelled in road course events over the past several decades.

“I’ve raced some go karts there in the past. I don’t know if they changed the course up since then but I’ve got a pretty good idea of what to do.” Rzesnowiecky said.

Both United Racing drivers now have a win this season and both are in the hunt for the series points championship. The general attitude at United Racing, regarding this Saturday, is “bring on that big bad road course at Fontana.” Everyone on the team will be ready for the challenge because that’s how they roll.
