Meier continues to impress

Las Vegas’ Jace Meier continues to impress down at Irwindale. You can read his official PR below. Seems that the kid has the talent and support behind him. Maybe a run in some touring series could come his way. West coast needs a Logano type to root for. Meier may be the one.
JACE MEIER EARNS RUNNER-UP FINISH
Justice Brothers/High Point Racing 1-2 FinishLas Vegas, NV – Jace “the Ace” Meier nearly beat teammate Tim Huddleston Saturday evening at the Automobile Club of Southern California Late Model series 40-lap main event at Irwindale. Meier had qualified 5th, but started on pole, and ran neck-to-neck with Huddleston and Staudinger the entire race. Huddleston had a 10-car length lead with six laps to go when Meier started closing in and finished right on his rear bumper.
“If we would’ve had a few more laps tonight we would’ve been able to win this thing,” said Meier. “Our #55 car was a rocket once the tires came in. I’m really happy for Justice Brothers and High Point Racing that we could finish 1-2 tonight.”
With the 2nd place finish, Meier is now 12 points out of first place, an incredible stat from a track rookie. When interviewed in the winner’s circle, Huddleston commented to the crowd that Meier is an incredible talent and someone to watch for in the future to end up in the big leagues.
Meier is an 18 year old Las Vegas native, currently racing for Tim Huddleston’s High Point Racing team. When he isn’t racing, Meier is an honor student at Spring Valley High School, president of his senior class and a very active member in his school and the community, in addition to serving as a Motivational Speaker.
