Yakima, WA – On Saturday May 26, 2007 it was another of many successful nights of racing for Gary Lewis (Bothell, WA) at Yakima Speedway. The two-time Northwest Tour Champion took the lead on lap one of the Matco Tools 125 presented by TruX Etc. for the ASA Aero Exhaust Northwest Tour premier stock car racers and was not passed all night. PGARA Speedway - OKTire Challenge Series

The 2nd 100 lap race of the OKTIRE Challenge Series was run on the 3/8 mile PGARA Speedway oval on Sat May 26 and on Sunday 27th. The evening started with the weather threatening to delay the event and it did delay it but only slightly, the biggest delays were due to non-weather related track conditions. Read more

Brown Sets New Record, Dominates Race

POST FALLS, IDAHO – Multi champion and race winner Rick Brown made an on track statement that he was the fastest driver at Stateline Speedway, setting a new track record, when he entered his first Inland Northwest Sprint Car race two weeks ago. Brown returned to support his previous appearance, annihilating his own track record and dominating the series main event Saturday night. Read more

Menne holds off Crockett to earn NSCS checkers

WHITE CITY, Ore. - It was a win that was a long time coming for Dan Menne.

Menne, out of Fort Jones, Calif. worked through thick traffic and held off point leader Roger Crockett to take the win in Saturday’s Northwest Sprint Challenge Series event at Southern Oregon Speedway, becoming the fourth different winner so far in the inaugural NSCS season. Read more

ASA AERO EXHAUST NORTHWEST TOUR AT YAKIMA

Yakima, WA – This Saturday night May 26, the ASA Aero Exhaust Northwest Tour continues its season with race #2. Yakima Speedway will host the northwest’s best stock car drivers as they battle for 125-laps on the famed ½-mile oval.

The Matco Tools 125 presented by Trux Etc. will once again test these top notch drivers to the max. With warmer temperatures and a long race, each team will be searching for the fastest setup for their respective late model race cars.

Those expected for this Memorial Day weekend event are current point leader Tom Sweatman (Cosmopolis, WA), Travis Bennett (Ellensburg, WA) winner of the 2007 Apple Cup earlier this season, Jeff Barkshire (Auburn, WA) direct off the NASCAR Grand National Division West Series and Gary Lewis (Bothell, WA) current point leader of the Late Model Challenge Series.

Two icons of northwest racing Garrett Evans (E. Wenatchee, WA) fresh off a win a week ago at Yakima Speedway and Ron Eaton (Spanaway, WA) will try to show members of the ASA NWT on how they got their winning reputations.

Among other drivers expected are Jason Fraser (Snohomish, WA), Brandon Riehl (Boring, OR), Jay Sauls (Puyallup, WA), Kelly Tanner (Auburn, WA) a former Tour Champion, Matt Hall (Spokane, WA) and local racer Erick Hargraves (Yakima, WA).

In addition to the 125-lap feature for the Tour will be two of the speedway’s popular divisions. The Late Models and H&H Furniture Hobby Stocks will be on hand to make this a race night not to miss.

It all starts on Saturday May 26, 2007 with racing getting underway at 7:00 P.M.

SAN BERNARDINO – There is a fireworks show scheduled for the conclusion of the stock car racing program at Orange Show Speedway Saturday night (May 26). The question is whether there also will be fireworks earlier in the evening, when the BSR West Late Models are on the track for their sixth race of the year. Read more
