Rain Halts 4/21 Racing, Tickets Good for Next Event

April 23, 2007

POST FALLS, IDAHO – Saturday’s races at Stateline Speedway were cut short in the opening laps due to a persistent drizzle of rain that made the track conditions too slippery for competition. Fans who purchased tickets and attended the Northwest Modifieds, Vintage Racing and Street Stock event can use their stubs for admission into next Saturday’s races.

Rain delayed qualifying earlier in the night. Officials and race teams attempted to keep the track dry, but the drizzle was part of an extensive weather pattern holding over North Idaho.

Next Saturday the Inland Northwest Super Stock Series kicks off their fourth season of Super Stock and Late Model racing in the area. Spokane’s Dave Garber, Jack Morse, John Mandere and North Idaho’s Jeff Little and Corey Allard are expected entries. Two past champions of the series are also expected to appear.

Late Model 4’s and Hobby cars will also start their rain-delayed season. Saturday events start at 6pm. Adult admission is $13, kids under six are free. A family pass, two adults and three kids, is $30. Tickets stubs from the rainout can be used for admission.

Racing continues this week with the wild, wacky, unpredictable action of Wednesday Night Fever, Wednesday at 6pm with the cars and superstars of the Road Runners, Fever 4’s, plus the wild and crazy Bump to Pass division. Adults are just $5.75; kids under the age of nine accompanied by adults are free.
