Now, with the news that they have signed a contract with the ASA Member Track program, the track management has even higher expectations for the 2007 season which opens on April 14 with the start of the 41st Annual Apple Cup. High Desert Roadrunners Car Club ready to show

For many years now the membership of the High Desert Roadrunners Car Club have dedicated themselves to the restoration and perservation of classic vehicles. It takes a lot of hard work, as well as a significant expense, to restore these vehicles but to these club members it’s an act of love. The good news for all classic car lovers is the fact that the members of this car club are more than willing to share their automotive works of art with the general public and will be doing so again, March 31st, on Balsam Street in downtown Ridgecrest-California.
Jenkins to make run at NASCAR Whelen Series

Funk to run diversified schedule in 2007

LA CONNER, Wash. - Evan Funk has a long year ahead of him. The 17-year-old sensation out of La Conner, Washington will be traveling up and down the west coast in 2007, driving 410 and 360 dirt sprint cars, wingless 360 pavement sprint cars, and even jumping in a midget on a number of occasions. Funk will also chase the inaugural Northwest Sprint Challenge Series championship, driving the Speedmart Inc. and Frontier Chevrolet sponsored #8 Rocket, powered by a Shark Engine. Read more

Roscoe the Racing Dog is newest member of Funtime Promotions
Skagit Speedway PR maestro Kelly Hart made the news official Tuesday here, that there is now a “furry addition” to the Skagit Speedway promotional team.
Hart says that the dog’s name is Roscoe and is relatively friendly.
CTRN: One would hope that a mascot of Roscoe’s girth would be friendly. We’ll pay for the first photo or video of Roscoe harassing either Kelly Hart or Steve Beitler during race day.
Beitler and staff have made great strives in past years to connect with fans, primarily families with unique promotions and experiences. Roscoe is no exception. Kudos to the Funtime crew for bringing another initiative of fun and entertainment back to short track racing in the Northwest.

Las Vegas driver will begin season Saturday
Las Vegas, NV – Jace “the Ace” Meier is set to enter his fifth year of competitive racing as he debuts car #55 in the Late Model Division at Irwindale Speedway this Saturday. Meier has been selected to drive for High Point Racing with Tim Huddleston, a past Late Model division champion and owner of one of the top Late Model teams in Southern California. Read more

ASA Northwest Tour gaining ground

The “Rocket” launches in San Bernardino

Randel “The Rocket” King launched his Hype Manufacturing Dodge right out of the front row and won a very impressive victory in the Lucas Oil ASA Speed Truck Challenge Series, presented by Go Fast, held March 17th at the Orange Show Speedway a quarter mile paved oval in San Bernardino-California. The 14 year old driver, from Riverside-California, was clearly the class of the field on this ST Patrick’s Day evening and dominated the 100 lap event from the first lap to the final one enroute to his first series win.
