Australia’s Titan Racing suffers $200k robbery
February 25, 2007
Titan Garages and Sheds Racing suffered a crippling robbery on the team’s Sprint car transporter in Melbourne, ahead of the Australian Sprint Car Title. The transporter was broken into during the night, and the thieves stole two Sprint car race engines, and the team’s entire inventory of spare parts and tools.
Team manager Drew Kruck said that he and his father - legendary Sprint car team owner Reeve Kruck, suspect that people close to the team conducted the robbery. The equipment that was stolen was: one 410ci engine, one 372ci engine, two race cabinets with all of the team’s tools and spare racing parts, including: brake lines brake discs, air tools, radiator fittings, and even all of the nuts and bolts.
Drew and Reeve Kruck hope that somebody can come forward and help the team recover the stolen equipment. Anybody with information should contact Titan Garages and Sheds on 07 3803 6077 and ask for Reeve Kruck.
