Kammerzell sweeps midget program at Salem

SALEM, Ore. - No brooms were in sight, but Doug Kammerzell did a little
sweeping Saturday night in Salem.

The driver out of the Seattle suburb of Arlington earned a clean sweep in
the NOMA midgets at the Oregon State Fairgrounds, winning both of his heat

Lucas Oil I-10 SpeedwayA standing room only crowd converged at the Lucas Oil I 10 Speedway, a quarter mile paved oval located at the Colorado River Fairgrounds in the community of Blythe-California. They came in layers of clothing and wrapped themselves in blankets to fend off the chilly evening temperature. Midgets Make Stateline Speedway Visit in May

WMRA - Washington Midget Racing Assoc.Stateline Speedway officials announced the confirmation of a Washington Midget Racing Association event in 2007. The event featuring pavement midgets from around the northwest is scheduled for Saturday May 5, 2007 part of Stateline Speedway’s spring schedule of events. The race will be the only appearance of the season for the series at Stateline Speedway. Read more

First off, before NASCAR officials in Daytona Beach contacts me, I am well aware, and respectful, of the fact that the official name of this racing series is the NASCAR Autozone Elite Division Southwest Series. But at this point in time I’m asking them to recognize the fact that in the hearts of many old school fans of this series, who followed it from the very beginning, it always has and always will be referred to as “The Tour.”
