Robertson wins, top turkey at Swainsboro

Swainsboro Ga.- A great weekend with great weather provided  some exciting racing for the Turkey 100. Racing was exciting in all divisions as Nascar Driver Sam Sommers would drop the green flag to kick off the Thanksgiving Event.

Bob Robertson took the Super Late Model win Saturday night at Swainsboro Raceway located in Swainsboro Ga. For Bob is was a sweet win to come to Swainsboro and take home the $5000 along with the Turkey. Ed Basey would come home in second. Robertson Started up front and Stayed there all night but could not get away from Basey and Mike Head who would finish in third. Clint Smith would put up one of the hardest charges of the night battling with d for the third position but would settle for fourth. “We could have got by Mike several times however time ran out” said Smith. Johnny Cloer would come home in the fifth position.

Henry Carter would take the win ion the Crate Late Model race which was one along with the Feature was one of the most exciting races of the evening. Henry would race hard to keep Terry Lumley, Bob Robertson, Robert Diekemper, Bobby Morris, Travis Pennington, and Chesley Dixon in his rear view mirror. “We wanted this one bad and a great win for my car owner Chris Dorsey of here in Swainsboro. Bob, Terry and those guys raced me hard and raced me clean all night: said Carter.
