October 14, 2006

This has got to be the funniest chitter chatter heading into the off season to watch. According to a source close to a building project constructing condos at a local dirt track, here is a list of items residents purchasing cribs at the development will receive when moving in.

  • Lifetime supply of Swiffer Sweepers
  • Pledge
  • Keys to the community water truck
  • and a 24 hour access card to the track’s private club located in the restrooms in turn two with all you can eat nacho chesse compliments of the house.

NASCAR’s way of saying goodbye

October 13, 2006

Nice to see NASCAR running Elite commercials saying “goodbye.” The spots have run numerous times during NASCAR broadcasts on cable networks. The spots are probaly leaving the new NASCAR fans saying, “what was that.” With no real effort put in by the top level of NASCAR to position the series over the last five years in front of their newly acquired fanbase.

Too bad the effort in saying goodbye was not focused on saying hello. Makes you wonder how they will say audios to the Grand National division?

October 13, 2006

by Jim Short | Orange Show Speedway PR

SAN BERNARDINO, CA – Ron Hornaday Jr. could have stayed home in North Carolina and relaxed this weekend. Instead, he boarded an airplane and made the trip west to compete at Orange Show Speedway Saturday night. “Orange Show is one of those places I cut my teeth at,” said Hornaday, who’ll be taking on the speedway regulars and a large group of visiting drivers in the KCAL 100 Super Late Model race. “Gary Stockman asked me to come out and drive his car and it’s a good time to go home and see some friends and family.
