October 28, 2006
POST FALLS, IDAHO – Stateline Speedway announced today, two confirmed events for the 2007 season. The Foreign Stock Car Racing Association based out of Western Washington will make two stand-alone appearances during next year’s schedule on June 23 and in the second half of the season on August 18.
The FSCRA has been a part of Stateline Speedway’s lineup of entertainment for the last ten years, in 2006 the series made two stops, one in combination with the ASA Pro 4 Challenges series for the inaugural Northwest Pro 4 Nationals and one as a stand alone. Steve Thompson of West Richland, Wash. won the Northwest Nationals and John Grosvenor won the fall race for the series.
Speedway promoter, Joe Doellefeld says 2007 is shaping up to be an entertaining season.
“Many traveling series have shown an interest coming to the track,” he added. “The FSCRA stands out as being one of the annual favorites for our four cylinder fans.”
Featuring four cylinder powered late models, the cars produce side-by-side racing with lap times rivaling larger V8 cars with drivers from Oregon and Washington. FSCRA started in 1965 as an indoor race in Seattle. Drivers include Jerry Koepping, Wayne Dillion, and Dave Powell. For more information on the FSCRA visit their website at www.fscra.org
