Orange Show crowns three champs at finale

Orange Show SpeedwaySAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – Three championship celebrations, 280 laps of main event racing and a 17-car Demolition Derby brought the Orange Show Speedway stock car racing season to a close Saturday night.

Glen Cummings of Highland, Jim Conklin of Big Bear and Jim Mardis of Riverside were the celebrants, capturing their first titles in the Super Late Model, Late Model and Pony Stock divisions, respectively. Read more

Winter Blast at Lucas Oil I-10 Speedway

Blythe, Calif - The Lucas Oil I 10 Speedway, a quarter mile paved oval located at the Lucas Oil I-10 SpeedwayColorado River Fairgrounds in Blythe-California, will present round three of their 2006-2007 Winter Blast Series this Saturday night, October 28th.

Open wheel fans will be thrilled with the special guest division this Saturday night. The USAC Ford Focus Midgets will be in Blythe.This open wheel touring series literally flies around the Lucal Oil I 10 Speedway’s quarter mile oval and provides very close, wheel to wheel, exciting racing. FSCRA to Stateline in 2007

POST FALLS, IDAHO – Stateline Speedway announced today, two confirmed events for the 2007 season. The Foreign Stock Car Racing Association based out of Western Washington will make two stand-alone appearances during next year’s schedule on June 23 and in the second half of the season on August 18. VISALIA, Calif. - Longtime racing promoter Donnie Mack has been named the National Sprint Tour `Promoter of the Year’ for 2006. The announcement was made during the NST’s inaugural awards banquet Oct. 15 at the Holiday Inn in Visalia, Calif. Mack promoted the July 7-8 NST doubleheader at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

Mack and his brother Linus are partners with Wayne Anderson and Darren Evavold. Mack raced for 22 years before turning to promoting in 1980 per a request from World of Outlaws founder Ted Johnson. Read more

Palmdale-California’s Chris Peedan made quick work of jumping into the lead and won the Super Sportsman main event flag to flag. His seventh win of the season moved him one giant step closer to another championship. The October 21st race was held at the Willow Springs Speedway, a quarter mile paved oval, located in Rosamond. Wyatt moving to NASCAR Grand National Division in 2007

Newport News, VA- After another successful NASCAR Dodge Weekly series season Wayne Wyatt, owner of Wyatt Motorsports LLC felt it is time for their 22-year-old driver Casey Wyatt to take the next step in his racing career. Casey has accomplished the goals needed at the Weekly Series level to further his career to the NASCAR Regional Touring Series. Today, established teams look for drivers that can adapt to different styles of cars on different types of tracks. This move will prove the Casey and the Team are ready to make that adaptation. Meier ROY at LVMS Bullring

Las Vegas, NV – Consistency throughout the season proved to be the key to Jace Meier being named “Rookie of the Year” in the NASCAR Late Model division at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway this past weekend.  Meier earned a 12th-place finish earning 252 points, not bad considering he missed seven races during the season, due to his racing commitments in California. Lasoski, Roth honored at inaugural NST banquet

VISALIA, Calif. - Danny Lasoski and car owner Dennis Roth were honored Sunday night at the inaugural National Sprint Tour championship banquet. Lasoski and Roth, as well as the Roth Motorsports Team, received a standing ovation as they took to the stage at the Holiday Inn in Visalia. While Lasoski and Roth got the top honors on the night, Roth made it clear someone was more deserving. Read more

Vintage WRA cars take on Willow Springs

WILLOW SPRINGS, Calif - The Willow Springs Speedway, a quarter mile paved oval located in the mammoth Willow Springs International Raceway complex in Rosamond-California, will open its gates this Saturday night with a full card of racing action from its regular divisions plus special guest the WRA: Western Racing Association. TULARE, Calif. – Winning any championship in racing is special. For Danny Lasoski and car owner Dennis Roth, winning the 2006 National Sprint Tour title together has extra meaning. First of all, the two reunited to win the inaugural NST title. Secondly, the two won the title in memory of series founder Fred Brownfield, who was killed at Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma, Wash. in June. Read more
